PatchOnly Full Version is here! If you're still using VIDA 2012B, this patch will bring it up to date with VIDA 2012C and fix all the bugs that have been released since then. New features such as Model-Based Solver (MBS) and Visualization Toolkit (VTK) support make the latest version of VIDA even more powerful than ever before. Models are now automatically converted to the MBS format during import using the built-in MBS tools. These models can then be used to generate mesh elements on demand for visualization or meshing. The latest version of Visualization Toolkit, VTK 6.1 has been incorporated into VIDA, adding hyperlinking support and data export (for load balancing), as well as many other features. There are also new post-processing utilities for curve fit statistics and image analysis. Full details can be found in the full version release notes.The patch has three options: This update is only compatible with VIDA software 2012B (there was no 2012A). It will not work with any earlier versions of VIDA. This version also has new features, including the MBS Solver, which allows automatic conversion of models to the MBS format on import. Only Models are enhanced with this feature at this time. This version includes several bug fixes, including the correct treatment of adjacent layers for collecting surrounding model points in regions where they are not already present. The fix for layer selection by name is included in this patch, but it is NOT backwards compatible with software older than VIDA 2012 B. Not all features from the 2012B version are present in the 2012C release; those that were not included in the 2012C release are still available in the VIDA software: There is a known issue with loading and running models created using VIDA 2012C (or 2013) with versions of Vinka other than 1.8.6.
